The Peace Symbol & Easter Egg Roll

The Peace Symbol celebrated 50 years of its existence and the Iraq war entered in its 6th year.According to a British survey more than million civilians lost their lives in the war.Today American casualties reached to 4000 dead and tens of thousands wounded.
While the world was waiting for some reaction from Washington,it appeared White House alive on CNN.
Easter Egg Roll competition – thousands of children were invited to White House to participate in the Egg Roll Race.President of United States was to blow the whistle to start the race.He blew the whistle,embraced the bunny,laid his head tenderly against another soft Easter bunny and posed with innocent smile.
We all have our priorities.

Festival of Colours in India

People wore the best clothes,prepared delicious dishes,lit bonfires,sang songs,drank intoxicating bang,threw colours & colour- water on each other and danced on the day of full moon.
It was the Festival of Holi –celebrations of the spring season.Holi came with promises of good harvest,prosperity,flowers and bright summer days.
Colourful Holi celebrations warmed my heart in the cold, cold Stockholm.

Today is the most festive Jewish holiday Purim.
Today is the Easter holiday.
Today is the first day of spring and the beginning of the Iranian and Bhai year.
Today is the coldest day in Sweden, but the sun was shining together with hope.

Financial Guru & strong dollar mantra

He was the chief priest of financial and monetary system.He had 99 names,some called him guru or pundit and the other considered him just an expert.He helped to establish federal reserves bank that was owned by the commercial banks.He created the concept of trust-backed dollar, made it an international currency and advised government to print tons of dollars.It was the guru, who advised to create an illusion of wealth by over-flooding the world with complicated system of paper money and lent,borrowed, spent and speculated money that never existed.
He had a staff of hundred thousand frogs;they jumped, climbed,croaked and produced deep high-pitched strong dollar mantras.He had thousand tricks in his bag;his delicate quite whisper was clearly heard all over the world.He announced lower interest rate and the world markets danced in joy.
Now the companies are announcing loses,the major holders are selling the dollars, stock markets are in panic,oil and gold prices are reaching sky-high and the world is entering in recession.
The chief priest could all the mantras,could walk gracefully on the Zigzag path of financial world,got endless tricks and is fully prepared for future changes.The delicate whispers of terrorist attack,which could paralyze the computerized international banking system, are already in the air.In chief financial priest we trust.

Suicide attacks took 31 lives in Lahore

Suicide attacks killed at least 31 people and wounded 175 in Lahore.I feel a sense of overwhelming grief, distress and powerlessness.I curse the perpetrators and cry for those,who lost their lives.

US dollar loses its weight

The world is loosing confidence in faith-backed currency.US dollar falls record low against basket of foreign currencies.
Dollar is world’s reserve currency,once the trust in it is gone than the US dollar is nothing than the pictures of dead presidents.

The world in wrong frame of mind

With pain in heart and soul I mourn the death of all the innocent people,who lost their lives in Baghdad, Gaza and Jerusalem.

War on drugs & war on terror

Once the war on drugs was waged.
Once United States Congress authorised the war on terror.
Since then we have been listening loud shrieks of children, women and other civilian. Hundreds and thousands of innocent souls have perished; human rights abuses, violations of International laws, all these sufferings and miseries are war on democracy.
The popular presidential candidate Barak Obama promised to bring the soldiers back from Iraq and instead wants to increase the military involvement in Afghanistan; enter in Pakistan and bomb the mountains of Waziristan. Republican candidate John McCain wished to stay in Iraq for hundred years and Obama wished to start a brand new war. However there is an evidence of peace in senator Hillary Clinton’s election campaign.
It is enough to manipulate public fears.
It is a time for war on poverty.

The first crane arrives in Sweden

Each year thousands of migrating cranes gather themselves on the banks of Hornborga Lake near Gothenburg in Sweden. When the ice melts the cranes perform dances.
Yesterday arrived the first participant of cranes dance .For me this single crane is a promise of spring, green grass and full-leaved trees.
I welcome the strange bird that like to stand on one leg with closed eyes.
